I had so much fun planning Stella's first birthday party. This day is my absolute favorite day and I wanted it to be filled with love and laughter. My aunt helped me so much with the decorations. It is truly amazing how talented she is. Her home has been featured in several magazines in Arkansas, so having her set up for Stella's party truly was such a gift. The party was so much fun and being surrounded by our nearest and dearest really was so special. Stella spent the majority of the party in the bounce house with her daddy and couldn't be happier. I had an amazing time drinking champagne and catching up with our friends and family.
The day she was born was beautiful, but scary. She wasn't due until the last day in February, but my amniotic fluid had started to get really low, so my doctor started monitoring it with sonograms twice a week. That Friday we went in and my fluid had dropped dangerously low. I don't think I will ever forget when the doctor looked at us and told us today was the day. I was immidietley taken to surgery and because she was breach, I had to have a c-section. At 5:37 pm our perfect angel came into the world. It was the most surreal moment. It was like my whole life began right in the moment they put her in my arms and I haven't stopped thanking God since.
Being parents to Stella is mine and James' greatest joy and I can not wait to celebrate all the birthdays ahead of us.
