Even though it's felt like spring off and on in Texas since December, I am starting to really believe that it's right around the corner and I can't wait. It's my favorite time of year. There is something so welcoming and new about this season. It marks a fresh start and you can mix all the pieces in your wardrobe. Layering is a must in this season because you honestly never know what the day will bring. I have always liked to throw on a long sleeve or turtleneck under a sweater. I feel that it makes the look a little more clean and adds yet another dimension.
This outfit is the perfect transition from winter into spring. This is a pretty thick sweater, but mixing it up with a skirt makes it perfectly acceptable to wear even with the unpredictable temps. I also am a huge fan of mixing soft tones, like blush and white. It's super girly and flirty, which I love.
I had to fly back to Baton Rouge Wednesday morning. Along with this awful pneumonia my dad is battling, they recently discovered that he has an irregular heartbeat. The doctors were going to wait until after he recovered to try to reset the rhythm, but decided last minute to move the procedure up. So, I flew back to be there when they put him under. The doctors also decided to do a biopsy of his right lounge to determine why it wasn't recovering like the left. Hopefully we will have some news in a few days. It's been a long and exhausting week to say the least. I am really praying for good news and for life to return back to normal. Have a great weekend! XO
