California Finds

I had so much fun visiting my friend Alison's beautiful new home, Newport Beach. I flew in on a Thursday into LA since I have never visited there before. We went to lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel and ran down Rodeo Drive. I loved it until we. had drive home. A 45 minute drive took us 3.5 hour at 3:00 in the afternoon. It was totally insane. my sweet friend, 6 months pregnant happily drove us and was such a trooper. I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that people do this day after day. I would literally lose my mind.

After we got to Newport, it was such a different scene. So much calmer, and I totally fell in love with it. We went to so many wonderful spots for lunches, dinners and shopping. One of the stores we went to was this beautiful ocean front, all glass building called A'Maree's. They had such amazing stuff, and we would wonder from one area to the next taking it all in. This is where I found this yellow dress that I am wearing. It was on sale, and I loved how bright and cheerful the yellow was. I am still trying to figure out how to tie the bow around the neck, but I am totally loving this piece.

In Newport, there are tons of resale shops, and we stumbled into one called Recycled Rags while we were out walking one morning. I literally died and went to heaven in this place. They had tons of my favorite designer shoes all under $200. These Louboutins I am wearing here were $140. If they had been worn you could not tell at all. I found so many great pairs and am so happy I found this little gem of a store. Follow them on Instagram, @recycled_rags, they post a lot of their finds on there.

We have already planned our trip back for my birthday and to see baby Corrigan! I am soooo excited to meet him/or her I can hardly stand it! My sister-in-law is due in late November, so this will be such an wonderful end of the year full of precious new little babes!

Have a fantastic extra long weekend! We are headed to Seaside Monday for the week with my family and I am really looking forward to it.
